What to Expect at Your COVID-19 Rapid Test Appointment – West Omaha

You’ve booked your appointment online at www.88MED.com for our West Omaha location to receive your rapid antigen or rapid IgM/IgG test; so what steps do you need to take next?

1: Where you can find 88MED

Our COVID-19 rapid testing West Omaha site resides at our 88MED location in Legacy Village at 17650 Wright Street, just south of West Center Road.

2: Arriving at your COVID-19 Rapid Test Appointment

Please be sure to arrive at 88MED at your scheduled appointment time. When you arrive please wait in your vehicle in a designated parking spot. We ask that you please wear a mask and maintain social distancing while waiting for your appointment.

You will be greeted by an 88MED staff member to confirm your appointment time, name, and date of birth. Subject to available testing supplies, our staff member will explain the two different tests and confirm the test you’ve requested.

Following confirmation, a registered nurse will visit your vehicle and will conduct a nasal swab or finger prick to collect the sample for testing. All samples are analyzed onsite by GS Labs.

3: Receiving Your COVID-19 Rapid Results

You will receive an email when your test results are ready. Approximately one hour after testing, be sure to check your junk/spam folders, as the email may be there. High demand may delay test results. If you have not received your results within two hours, please send us an email at info@88med.com or call at our West Omaha location, 402-389-2960.

  • If your test results are negative and are not experiencing any symptoms, you can return to your normal daily routine. Keep in mind, you should remain at home if you are still experiencing symptoms. While you may have tested negative for COVID-19, it is possible you have another illness that could spread to others. Manage your symptoms at home and contact your primary care provider if you have any questions or concerns.
  • If your test results are positive, you should quarantine yourself and contact your primary care provider.
There is now another 88MED Rapid COVID-19 Testing Site open in Council Bluffs at 3100 Nebraska Ave.
